Palm Island Sewerage Network Review

Palm Island is a township of approximately 3,000 people with plans for up to an additional 2,000 people. GANDEN was engaged to review the condition and capacity of the sewer network, including gravity mains, pump stations and rising mains.

Of particular concern to the local Council was the prevalence of large objects in the sewer network. Council had attempted to address the situation by installing baskets in the inlets of the pump stations but these have proven to be difficult to maintain.

As part of the town water and sewerage infrastructure review, GANDEN also reviewed the sewage treatment plant, water supply dams, water treatment plant and water supply network.
